Dj Table.
This was a Senior Degree Project for the Kansas City Art Institute. DJ touch screen interface and gesture interaction concepts of Mr Gerg Kaufman. which took Three months to make.
With a few taps and swipes he has created a board that can mimic turntables. Now all they have to do is show up to the club with a USB stick and they are ready to go.
I hope that when I go to a club featuring this, they better make me want to throw the hair I don’t have…..,yet. Video after the jump

The ipod Touch SUPREME. Officially the worlds most expensive ipod. The whole body was re- formed using 149 grams of solid 22ct gold with a beautiful rear Apple logo from 21 grams of gold which houses 53 VVS1, colour F diamonds .
The front outer section has been set with 300 VVS1 diamonds colour F. The main navigation buttons has 12 diamonds of the same quality set in 16 grams of gold all of which surround its glorious single cut pink diamond which is 2.10 ct colour G-H.

Kaye-Ree, Persian/German singer-songwriter from Frankfurt. (It not just about banks). I heard her sing a few years ago and I immediately booked her to sing at the S. Bar. It was clear to me then that this woman possessed the talent to go where ever she wanted.Her songs require you to listen, being in a hurry is not part of the deal.
Künstler sein statt Schüler
Dorsey Bushnell, die Projektleiterin des Schulprojektes “Künstler sein statt Schüler”, und persönliche Assistentin von Bill Forsythe startet mit einer Crew von Weltklassetänzern (Alan Barnes, Christoher Roman etc.) und Musiker des Frankfurter Ensemble Modern ein Jahresprojekt, das wir gerne dokumentieren.

Update: Panasonic will be keeping the turntables after all. Saying now they have no plans to get rid of them.
Blame those high tech people that now DJ with CD’s or their laptops. Technics will no longer produce the Technics
1200,and the 1210 models due to low sales. Oh well, most people that own these, should give them to those who can, well…………….., DJ

Gregor Schubert & die Machtdose
Gregor Schubert habe ich diesem Sommer kennen gelernt, kurz vor seiner geplanten Entführung.
Ein großer Mann, Autor für Dokumentarfilme, Filmemacher, Antreiber der Freitagsküche (Hohenstaufenstr – ffm), charmant & sympathisch. Er hat für das Maincafé das Sommerprogramm kuratiert, organisert das Lichter Filmfestival etc., etc..
Kein Zweifel, ein Held für die urbansociety!
Jetzt sind wir Blogger-Kollegen und ich liebe es zu vernetzen … dazu gibt es noch was zu feiern. Das Blog-Department der Machtdose feiert sein siebenjähriges Bestehen. Grund genug, um euch seine Arbeit vorzustellen.
Wollten es damals wissen: Roderik und Gregor
Der Blog “die Machtdose” gehört zu den ältesten aktiven Einrichtungen seiner Art, spezialisiert auf Musik, Kunst und Medien und unentwegt auf der Suche nach dem verlorenen Glück.
Die Machtdose äußert sich auf vielen Kanälen mit einem Programm – der Liebe zum Underground, zum Nicht-Konformen und dessen Begegnung mit der Alltagswelt. Im Dreieck zwischen Musik, Kunst und Medien. Alles, was für uns Bedeutung hat.
Wir stochern nicht, wir stöbern. Im Strandgut zwischen New York, Frankfurt und Tokyo. Mal frisch, mal abgehangen, aber nie durchgekaut. Immer subjektiv und damit auf der sicheren Seite.
Und neben dem Blog? Jeden zweiten, dritten, vierten und fünften Donnerstag senden wir von 19-20 Uhr auf Radio X (UKW-Frequenz 91,8 und Livestream) in Frankfurt/Main. Einmal im Monat gibt es unseren Podcast, in dem Netaudio-Tracks vorgestellt werden. Mehr über unseren Musikgeschmack erfahrt ihr natürlich auf last.fm und MySpace.
