Mark Ryden
Upon first glance Ryden’s work seems to mirror the Surrealists’ fascination with the subconscious and collective memories. However, Ryden transcends the initial Surrealists’ strategies by consciously choosing subject matter loaded with cultural connotation. His dewy vixens, cuddly plush pets, alchemical symbols, religious emblems, primordial landscapes and slabs of meat challenge his audience not necessarily with their own oddity but with the introduction of their soothing cultural familiarity into unsettling circumstances

A lovely ‘little’ furniture shop in a small town outside of Florence Italy, called Terranuova. A mixture between old and new. Anything can be made to order. As I was drinking the night before I kept staring at the very lovely comfy looking sofa that was begging for my company.

The British pavilion. The Shanghai Expo will take place 1 May to 31 October 2010. The Pavilion is being created by, Heatherwick Studio. Led by the internationally-acclaimed Thomas Heatherwick. Da Cindy & Nicola.
Florence let’s face it is gorgeously boring. That big old church in the center is not going to run away. Now in San Giovanni, I was acquainted with a delicious Gourmet shop run by Cindy and Nicola. As I am writing this two things come to mind, SCHIACCIATA, and the GRAN PEZZO. As I can’t speak Italian I learnt those words really quickly ( google it).
I will only say Walk, Ski, mountain bike, climb a mountain, swing from a helicopter, let the James Bond in you free, just get there, and partake in their exquisite offerings.

Kin one and Kin two.
The Kin is targeted at a younger demographic with an emphasis on social communicators. I asked my 14 year old nephew what he thought about the phone and he thinks that it is great and would like to have one now.
It would seem that this will tap a market that has thus far been incorporated into the mass market.

Volkswagen bike.
VW has been coming out with some funky stuff of late. This earthy bike folds upon it’s self and parks into the spare tire compartment of your car. It also runs on batteries, hence the term earthy.
